Product Description
A blend of two distinct 14 year Aged Single Blended Rums, consisting of both Artisanal Pot and Traditional Twin Column Coffey distilled molasses rums.
One rum was matured for 14 years entirely in Ex-Bourbon barrels, the second, matured for 3 years in Ex-Bourbon barrels then aged for an additional 11 years in Ex-Oloroso Sherry Casks.
All aging, blending and bottling occurring entirely on-site, at Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados.
TASTING NOTES
Initial Impressions: Full flavored and complex. Sovereignty shows significant layers with impecable balance - citrusy and fruit forward while having complex oxidative and nuty characteristics.
Aroma: Notes of grapefruit peel, with dark fruits - cherries & blackberries, folowed by dark chocolate, cashews, caramelized pineapple and pipe tobacco.
Palate: Bold and complex - citrus & fruit notes; pomegranate, toasted almond, hazelnuts. With hints of toasted baking spices - cinamon & clove. Finishes dry and lightly tanic with rich caramel, tobacco and overripe pineapple notes lingering.

About Foursquare Distillery
Referred to as the "Pappy of Rum" by Bourbon historian, and author of "Rum Curious" Fred Minnick - Foursquare is consistently ranked as one of the most influential and desired distilleries in the world of Rum. Foursquare Rum Distillery is located on a former sugar plantation that dates back to approximately 1720, within the tiny Caribbean island of Barbados. The distillery was re-opened by the Seale family in 1996. Distilling operations and blending are currently directed by Richard Seale, 4th Generation Trader/Distiller of R.L. Seale & Co.

These are one-of-a-kind expressions, available for a limited time, showcasing truly unique approaches to both Rum blending and maturation.
All of the Exceptional Cask Selections have been matured in Barbados in a tropical climate - accelerating multiple aspects of the maturation process. In many cases, aging 2-3 times faster than if in Europe or a more temperate climate.
